Colleen M. Dougherty, M.S., C.G.C.
Colleen Dougherty is the Founder and Lead Genetic Counselor of Web Genetic Counseling, a remote practice dedicated to providing expert, accessible genetic counseling services. A board-certified genetic counselor with over 30 years of experience, Colleen has worked across diverse specialties including cancer genetics, reproductive genetics, and adult and pediatric genetic services. Her clinical background spans leading institutions such as Yale New Haven Health, Northwestern Memorial Hospital, and Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Beyond her clinical work, Colleen has been a dedicated educator and leader in genetic counseling training. Most recently, she served as Assistant Program Director and Clinical Coordinator for the Master of Science in Genetic Counseling Program at Bay Path University, where she directed clinical fieldwork, developed national training affiliations, and created CEU-accredited supervision modules. Her academic leadership also includes roles at Northwestern University and Howard University.
Through Web Genetic Counseling, she continues to advance personalized, compassionate care for individuals navigating genetic risk.
